Marketing and Prospecting Offline:Learn some effective strategies that you have taken for granted

Prospecting is the method by which an internet marketer, or any marketer for that matter, looks for potential clients. Prospecting does not only involve physical labor, but as well as a shrewd business mind. It is a skill that needs to be honed to the fullest in order for you to achieve a desirable result in your business.

Prospecting and Marketing, although have distinct definitions and functions, works hand in hand. Marketing is a tool that you utilize to expose your business to a particular population known as your target market.  While prospecting, on the other hand, uses these marketing tools in front of potential clients. The lines between these two powerful business tools may blur quickly.  But face it; we cannot contend that your work in marketing requires prospecting.

Marketing through prospecting is arguably one of the most essential skills that you need to crack if you want to build your network marketing business. It requires for you to invest a lot of dedication and time towards improving your technique.

The similarity between people who engaged in business is the personal knowledge that they need to market.  These people could still be divided into two: the group who failed and the group that succeeded. Marketing and prospecting doesn’t exist in theory alone, they need to be implemented. And people who have the right strategies, a clear perspective and understanding of the art of marketing and prospecting often triumphs.

Marketing and Prospecting doesn’t start when the sun rises and halts when sun sets.  Every situation and place that you are in gives you an opportunity to prospect and market. Don’t stop. Let me emphasize my point by giving you a very simple example.   If you check in a hotel, what do you think about? How about meeting a waiter/waitress with a great personality, at a restaurant where you and your buddies constantly hang out, what comes into your mind? Is it all about sleeping and good food? These are not just places for rest and food, respectively. These are potential places for marketing and prospecting!

What can you do?

Think about the housekeepers who clean your room in your hotel.   These are hardworking people who may or may not possibly be happy with their jobs. Most of these housekeepers are living paycheck to paycheck. How can you help them and at the same time help build your business? Here’s what I would do: leave a tip with a well-written note that says “I understand cleaning room on a daily basis might not be a fun task. If you’re open to different ways of making money, feel free to visit my website at www. yourwebsite.com.” This strategy works because many of these housekeepers are generally unhappy with their job. They’re just going through the motions in order to collect a paycheck at the end of the month. Who could resist an job opportunity that comes with a generous tip? If you consistently practice this strategy wherever you go, wouldn’t it be nice to have reps who come different places and different background? Wouldn’t it be nice to have reps that could represent and sell your business to a much more diverse target market?

Think about that.

Marketing and Prospecting does not only require knowledge, but most importantly, understanding, skill and an effective strategy. Think out of the box and take advantage of very welcoming opportunities waiting to be discovered.
